2:7 Registration

The 2:7 Series is a discipleship training curriculum done in small groups. We have couple’s tables, men’s tables, and women’s tables. Essentially, 2:7 disciples you while training and equipping you to disciple others. It starts with the fundamentals and then continually promotes life and heart application as we grow (because that’s how you’d disciple anyone who just became a believer in Christ). It is sometimes easy to approach studies as “scholastic”, but that is not the goal. Our prayer is that we humbly grow in the Lord and that He would move in our hearts and continue to effect the way we live and think in every way. Each of the 3 workbooks of the 2:7 study is an 11-week course. We offer all 3 books every semester (Spring, Summer, Fall). Between each book, we’ve built in a 4-5 week break. The name is based on the Scripture reference Colossians 2:7—the statement of the Apostle Paul to a New Testament church: “Rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” What the apostle Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, expresses in this passage clearly defines the specific goals of this training: 1) For a Christian to become built up in Christ and strengthened (or established) in his or her faith. This series of courses includes instruction in practical Bible study techniques, prayer, Scripture memory skills, fellowship, obedience, and tools to use in evangelism. 2) For a Christian to learn to overflow with gratitude in everyday life. The series will help an individual learn to experience and enjoy a stable and consistent Christian walk. 3) For a Christian to be taught (or instructed). The three books are designed to be completed in sequence. Book 2 builds on the work done in book 1, and book 3 builds on what your group has accomplished in the first two. The summer semester begins May 20th on Thursday nights from 7-9 pm. Childcare is available, but registration is needed each week.
