We are excited to have Colonel Allen West join our own Tommy Nelson for a Monday Night Focus Event in the Main Sanctuary of Denton Bible Church on September 21 at 7:00 PM. This event is planned as a call for all Christians to vote their biblical convictions in the upcoming November elections.
I think we're all aware that many critical issues will be determined by the outcome of these upcoming elections—at the National, State and Local level. For that reason, it is critical that Bible-believing Christians vote our biblical convictions to ensure that as much as is possible we can help determine the outcome of these policies.
As Christians we believe that God is in sovereign control of the affairs of men and that includes governments as well as political leaders. But we are also convinced that God's purposes many times entail our participation in the realization of His good and wise purposes. For this reason we feel that we have an extraordinary responsibility as well as opportunity to Influence the direction of our country for good.
We have invited Colonel Allen West to join our senior pastor Tom Nelson to challenge and encourage Christians to not only pray but also vote for leaders whose policies and actions are consistent with what the Bible has to say about human flourishing. We will also be joined by Attorney Mike Berry from First Liberty, a First Amendment Liberty defense firm, who will contribute his insights from a religious liberty perspective.
This 7:00 event is free to the public and does not require any advance notice that you will be attending.
On this same evening Pastors and church leaders are invited to join Tommy, Allen West and Attorney Mike Berry at 5:00 PM in the DBC Fellowship Hall (by the main Sanctuary) for a free box dinner prior to the later 7:00 PM public event.
Pastors and church leaders need to RSVP (at Votebyfaith@dentonbible.org
